Lucky me! Grandkids Alexia and Julian got off early from school yesterday (long holiday weekend - Labor Day) so came to spend the afternoon (and evening and night!) with me. read more »
Two more UFOs finished! I had started these stoles last year, planning on having them ready for Pentecost Sunday, but never made it. All that was left to do was decide and sew the appliqué designs and quilt the stoles. I think they turned out quite nice... and in time for Pentecost Sunday this year. read more »

So sorry I haven't posted in ages... I was pretty much pooped out writing the EQ6 Appliqué Drawing book and decided to take some time off from the computer, for what I thought would just be a couple of days but rolled into weeks. read more »
Ok, so I didn't meet my self-imposed deadline to finish the book. Then my editor suggested we aim for February 15. Which was last Friday. Didn't make that, either. She tells me now that she doubted that was realistic and was really aiming for sometime this week. read more »
The Lutheran church I attend here in Quito is celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year (in Dec. 2008). In preparing for this celebration, we have decided we need to spruce up the building a bit, and have prepared several fund-raising activities. read more »
