Morning Glory

Did you know morning glory flowers bloom in the morning (therefore the name), last that single morning and die in the afternoon? Or that this is the common name for over 9,000 species of flowering plants?

There are many interesting facts related to this seemingly common flower. But perhaps you are like me, and the only one of any importance lies in childhood memories. I will always associate this flower with the ivy that grew up and around the front door of my grandmother's house, which has always led me to associate this flower with that very special woman in my life.

This lap-sized quilt is a perfect gift for that sweet grandma or "Mom." And it goes particularly fast and easy because it is paper-pieced!

Finished quilt size: 59 x 64"
